Banging in bivvy pegs « Thread Started on Jul 1, 2009, 1:30pm »
Does anybody use a cordless drill & screw in pegs when setting up their bivvy. If so are the pegs very secure. I am thinking of getting a set of pegs as I had 2 lads set up next to me last week & they spent 40 minutes hammering in 2 sets of pegs then removing them & banging them in again. I got so cheesed off that it made me think about what I could do myself to reduce the amount of disturbance on the lake. I'm not really over bothered about other anglers because the majority appear to hammer their pegs in, rather I don't want to disturb any fish that may be in/near my swim & therefore get frightened away when they "feel" the banging.

flighty i agree with what you are saying,but a bringing a drill?Are you serious?Now and again you might get a sticky peg and i have been known to give it a whack with a rubber mallet is it that bad?

ive often found the carp like a bit of noise ,1 mate of mine was using a kabuta (small JCB) to make his lake a bit bigger and the carp would often turn up for a butchers, also many moons ago i spent a bit of time on a lake and The Don (Del Ritchie) would have his wog box blasting out tunes across the lake it never stopped him catching obviously this is not true of every lake but i dont think they are as bothered about stuff as we think they are
