went kirby viaduct today... all my favourite swims were taken. so i set up in the quietest part of the lake.. the second i chucked my rods out and had them all sorted, sods law my two favourite swims became free. sat in the cold for a bit and as the sun came over the lake i saw fins and shadows moving across the surface. THERE BACK haha.later on my mate ddapscarper came down for a walk.. showed me a shoal sunbathing in the snags.. dog buiscits went in and they were bang on it. got my bait tight to the snags and with no fear or worry the carp were all over me. pulled out a perfect little 10lb mirror. wouldnt sit still though. get your pedigree chum out carpfukers they love it

DDAPS closes at 4 pm today so I did 24 hours from yesterday morning on the Field Lake. Had an 18.14 mirror and a 15.00 common as well as a huuuuuuugggge bream which was unhooked in the water and sent on it's way. PRB did the business again. Only 3 on the lake and one of those arrived in the dark. One guy was in the long chuck and I'm sure he had one unless of course it turned out to be a snotty.
Gear wasn't wet this morning and the M25 was empty. Home with the gear packed away in 55 minutes. Unheard of.
