Hi all,
Used to fish Sutton years ago (early 90's). Just wondering if any of the fish around then are still alive today. Just finished looking at some old pics of ludicrous, arfur, Charm, Italian and it brought back some happy memories. I know that "the unknown" is or was the biggest in there (caught that twice at low twenties!), be nice to know if any of the back up fish to the unknown were the doubles or 20's i caught back then.
Cheers Barry

Ello Barry, long time no see. Sorry took so long to reply, just managed to work out how to use the laptop again after being pissed all crimble! lol! Yeah mate had a couple of cheeses last season from sutton but struggled this year. See you in the comic every now and then with the stow fish. Nice angling mate, keep it going.

It's like a gathering of carpy celebrities for me on here. I used to live with Barry's mate Chalky and hear second-hand about all his carpy exploits and I used to pester the feck out of Colin down at DDAPS Sutton when I was a spotty teenager about 12 years ago ;D

You are right Colin, long time no see! Are you still fishing sutton this year? Matt, Chalky is now a dad believe it or not, he has finally settled down after more than a decade of continuous shagging! (lucky b'stard) Anyway, Ludicrous still alive? What a fish, it looked on its way out when i caught it in the winter of 92! Sad as it is Colin, i remeber you caught a 25 mirror off the bottles in the early 90's - do you remember? What fish was it and is it still around?

Hi Lee I must agree with you about new anglers not knowing what fish they may have landed. Unfortunately in my humble opinion this will continue because the majority of new members (myself included) have no idea of whats in the ponds nor have they any pictures against which to compare their capture. So if anybody has any pictures/names for the fish in DDAPS waters please let us new members see them. That way we can get involved when somebody asks if Flipper or Moby or Nero have been out recently or maybe even gone to that big pond in the sky

kin ell lee, id hardly call ludicrous a stunning fish! lol. a character yes, but stunning no! Gave many an angler a pb common though. used to fight like a sack of nuts, then you'd get her on the matt and it would go sparny!!!! then you'd put it back and the bloody thing would turn over. im sure that fish has died about a thousand times!!!! Barry i remember when you had her, it was f***in freezing that day and she kept turning over evrytime you let her go, took about an hour or so if i remember! great fish!!!! hope its still alive, we got one in cemex sutton just like lidicrous called the delinquent. it kin mental....lunks like a dolhpin about 5 or 6 times in a row........rows like a pregnant dog though...gos mental on the matt....got a horrible parrot mouth and the same funny scale pattern. i reckon they are related ! Blunkett, whats your name mate im trying to remeber being bugged!

fished the channel swim and blanked....what are the better spots to fish in the swim. I had a bait on the left side of the island and one in the hole off the front.then moved the right hand bait to gap on the right in between the boards and the pads.Any advice would be welcomed.
