Dartford and District APS have Brooklands as our day ticket water and secure club lakes at Sutton at Hone and Horton Kirby. They also have stretches of the rivers Medway, Beult, Tiese and lower Tiese. For more details or application forms phone Alan 01322 270397

Anyone got any news of how dartford is fishing? Might go for a few trips when the weather warms a little.
Seems that it has been a funny couple of yrs at dartford with very inconsistent results. And overall been quite tough going considering the stock of the lake.
Personally I think the closed season has a lot to do with it, as the lake gets fished reasonably hard most of the year, but then gets hammered when sutton and kirby close, seems to be a trait of a lot of lakes in the last few years that the non closing down of lakes has made the fish harder to catch in general.
Anyone care to agree/disagree?

BCAC qualifier is at Brooklands this weekend, some local scum have tried to litter the place with rubbish and graffitti. It reflects on the club but what can you do when idiots play GOD

I was wondering if i can take my son (9) down to do a night on Sutton? He is not any kind of member. i think you will find your son has to be a member to do a night on Sutton and you will have to get a ticket to cover him from the office, i think they are a couple of quid a night. if in doubt read your rule book .

just an observation but do you all not agree that a society as big as DDAPS should get there web page updated and functioning in the way it deserves to.I dont think we get half the catch reports on this site that occour.surley we would gain a lot more info?

I totally agree Chris, Steve Butler has just taken on the task of doing the DDAPS website, he is just waiting for Craig Lyons to finish his standing down statement and then we can start afresh. Steve will then update the site on a regular basis

The rule book, AGM notices and renewals are all on the agenda for change once the new top table of the committee are voted in. The main reasons are to reduce costs in the current climate

Surely save a fair few quid a year on petrol by not getting the strimmers and chainsaws out every week!

Matt the strimmers have only been out once to prepare for the open day and the chainsaws have helped clear out fallen trees in the river.

What has prompted the committee to change the ruling on new members doing nights?this is my first season as a full member and i thought that i had gained a lot by doing an apprenticeship year,eg swim locations, topography, and general courtesy for the other anglers on the lake. Also i think the first year was good as it may of thinned out the noddy types.

Is there a shortfall in new members coming forward? And do you fully support this? :)Chris there are plenty of people applying but we never take things for granted, especially in this credit crunch period. I cant say I fully support this but I felt it was worth trying, if it causes problems we will have to have a re think or U turn if thats politically correct.

The site has been revamped and I am now looking for "members data input" www.ddaps.org/ For some reason this link keeps getting corrupted on this forum. If it does not work, just type or copy and paste -"www.ddaps.org-"- into your browser! Without the quotes. Pictures for the gallery's are especially wanted. New or old.
