Hi guys, some months ago a friend asked me to take him carp fishing. No problem with that, but he is quite disabled & is on sticks etc. which restricts his mobility. He has now asked if I can take him in two weeks time. Can anybody suggest any half decent swims which are near the car parks at any DDAPS waters. I don't want him sitting there all day with no chance of at least a bite. Thanks guys.

Once it starts to warm up a bit at Sutton the Garden swim on the big lake and anywhere round the bottom end near the pads on the small lake are all worth a bet. Anywhere that there's vegetation starting to come to life in the lake draws them like a magnet providing the weather's conducive to them having a prod around. Car park swim on the small lake's always a winner lots of options there, margins both sides, fresh sprouting pads and silt in front plus it catches the sun all day which is a massive factor in the spring I've found. It's a bastard for tarts like me trying to get everything perfectly level in that swim though ;D

kirby viaduct, on the center path.. in the spring wack out afew freebies (not to many) about 10-20 yards out into the silt. i find the fish make 1 big circit of the bar down the lake during the warmer months so as the weather starts to pick up you could be onto a winner in the silt swims at the end of the bar. i fished that swim many times and find it quite productive. also there are afew trees along that bank and all of the large over hanging 1s have been known to produce well. slack liness ; )
