the guys at the bcac did well i think the winners walked away after catching 7 carp at a total weight of 130lb
I heard of the odd 20 here and there last week but as ddaps said it has been fishing slow. i think the warmer weather is going to last into next week deffo worth gettin the rods out whilst we have this steady weather

I had a walk around and was told three scrotes tried twice to steal an anglers gear in the night.

before anybody else writes about this get your facts right thanks there has been one incident nothing else and the fella involved didn't catch them taken his stuff he just thought that ,then he stood outside his biviy asking them to come and take his stuff cause nobody awnsered him when he called out if anybody was trying to take anything dont you think they would of gone else where round the lake instead of buggering about winding someone up that may have been wrong thinking they were gonna rob him

A big machete or a can of wd40 and a lighter does the trick

Rodders this is the same incident mate. Bitty you are right, it was only one incident. But the baliff told me what happened and he said they did come back a second time to have another pop at the same fella.

I heard some kids from Leigh college got threatened by some other kids with knives involved at Brooklands last week. Any problems should be reported to the police, I know most of you will think that nothing gets done but the more reports they get the more they have to show a presence. DDAPS has had 2 break ins at Sutton this close season, then Ernest Does got done, probably the same crowd and the police caught one of them because they were aware of our break ins.

It is a shame that this goes on at a legendery venue like this, but it goes on at more venues than you would belive! I think all of us should keep an eye on the next angler and stick together to beat these dogs.

chriss different incident i believe.it's a shame it goes on cos the venue holds some great fish but there are far too many scrotes wandering round at silly times of the night.
i for one wont be going back in a hurry

WARNING anyone parking in Homebase carpark for more than 2 hours may get a ticket from now. A new company have taken over the running of the carpark so it's not Homebase's fault, although they have now shut the doors on the inshop toilets because they say they have been abused by anglers.

Hi Robin, many thanks for the warning, I think a few DDAPS members use the car park over the course of the year. Unfortunately not all members use this forum so I suspect a few fines will be issued.

50 Chinese Budist's were caught carring out a cleansing ceromony in the lake the weekend before last. They tipped a container of carp into the lake, some of which died and were taken away by the EA for blood tests. I will update asap
