Hi guys, hope your all keeping well. Sorry I have not been on here for quite a while. Unfortunately over the past few months I have been suffering from periods of passing out. I collapsed at my sons wedding and had to have CPR and mouth to mouth. Fortunately my daughter & new daughter in law are nurses so when I collapsed I was surrounded by loads of medical staff who were guests at the wedding. Apparently I "died" for a few minutes. Because of these collapsing sessions I have not been fishing for months because as you can see I have had other things on my mind, but I hope to start driving and fishing again once it warms up. I had hoped the doctors had sorted things out but it appears not to be. I am still having numerous tests, to try and sort things out. So if you see me fishing on DDAPS waters this coming year please say hi. If I ignore you I am not being a miserable old git, I am probably dead. Only joking ;D ;D. Anyway enough of my problems, heres wishing you all a belated happy new year and I sincerely hope to see you on the bank in 2011. Best wishes for the coming year.

I think a lot of people are now using facebook groups rather than forums such as this which is a shame. However, unfortunately it's probably a sign of the times. Also with the lakes being frozen for a while it's probably keeping things quiet as nobody is getting out. Still it should thaw by May. ;D ;D

Hi griffo Spencer has recently changed the name of this forum to the facebook carp group of which there are 200 members. However if you look on facebook and type in facebook carp group you will see spencers latest group with just over 1700 friends so it is obviously getting everybody in one place. I don't know if being a member on here automatically makes us members of the facebook group as I haven't checked. I am on there as are a couple of others but am not really a fan of facebook due to the crap you get on there ie diet sites & advertising along with other associated junk postings. Also a local forum like this is able to provide localised info which facebook can't ie is sutton still frozen. Still each to their own. Finally apologies if you were already aware of this. It was not my intention to teach my grandmother to suck eggs as the saying goes. regards John
