I'm glad Callum has a mate. I was getting worried that he was doing too much fishing. ;-)

Managed to sneak a day off work Friday 8th so headed off to do 2 night at Brooklands Armed with my trustee side kick Callum we got to the lake around 11am, and took a stroll down the center path, comp had a few on it but Baldwins look pretty clear and showing allot of fish cruising on top. I chose the Garden and got about setting up, had a mark around to find the bars and had to rods out on that . Middle on a spodded area and right just short of it and the left was on a patch of gravel closer in, think it was just the end of the bar as it joins the silt, still learning the lake lol The day was quite, tried to get them going on top but they just swam past tacking no notice, it was just nice sitting catching some rays thou, but that night was time for my first carp from Brooklands at 2.30 was woken up by a strange take that didn't really get going but lifted in to feel a good lump on the end, and after a tidy fight was rewarded after my 4th session at the lake with 21lb 10 oz Common Woo made up lol And no sooner i was back in bed the right hand rod sprung in to action and just after 3am had a loverly 18lb Common/Ghostie And my little helper Maizie keeping watch on the rods The lake was busy the next morning and seemed to holt my action but i was more than happy Ill be back for more in a week or so and cant wait Tight Lines

Did 2 nights on the 22nd and 23rd, set up in the back point and was feeling prety confident, even thou there was signs on them spawning. After the first night of bream i was hoping a carp or two may move in but another few bream and a tench was all i had to show for my efforts God i hate bream, 5 is just to many lol never mind thou, ill be back at the weekend to try again

Been a while since ive been down had a lot on, but Friday i managed to get down and set up in the Anson, never fished it before but my old mate Callim had set up in the Rubbish tip. I was set p in no time as everything went well, but didint see a thing show and wasnt to confident. Nothing went off that night, and when i woke Callum had gone due to work, he was meant to come back to do another night and bring me a bit more bait, BUT the little weed left me stranded, alone hungry and baitless. Deaperate i was! I went old skool, little bag of pellet and a soaked pinapple pop up on a KD rig, cast tight to the tree, at 10pm another odd bite, i lifted in to a scrappy little carp Itwas good fight and snaged me up but got him out and Landed a 14lb 2oz Common Ill put the pic up later as my camarea had run out of batt, and had to tack it with my phone
