Helo chaps I've managed to get on to my first syndicate It's not the easiest of lakes but there is a very good head of carp, Its a small water, not 100% sure on depths. It's also contains a load of weed, from what I've seen its silkweed and a floating weed which I believe is Canadian pond weed, I have never fished a weedy lake before, its gonna be a challenge but one I am really looking forward to I was just wondering if you fellas could give me some tips, the clear spots get hammered and a lot of raking gets done, I would like to fish in the weed its self? And tips will be helpful chaps Cheers callum

Watch where the fish go, there’s often a maze of routes & tunnels under the weed that they use to get around the lake. Sometimes you're able to see the direction they are travelling in as they kick up a fizz of bubbles from under the weed. One of the best spots I found on a very weedy lake was within a few inches of the bank. They were swimming between 2 sets of marginal pads via an undercut bank If you can get on them close in try float fishing on top of the weed with light baits or in the holes they go down..you’ll love it

Now the siltexing and the phosphate have gone into our lakes expect to see weed in places it never grew before. Eventually this will lead to some bigger fish being caught, dont stop putting the bait in though.
