Oh dear. I don't think I have ever spent an evening with a more selfish, ungrateful, narrow minded, unprofessional group of people in my entire life. There was a group of about 20 people in that room that were a complete embarrassment with there selfish and petulant child attitudes and arguments. I don't know what they expect from there club, you have a selection of waters that would be the envy of any club, a committee with the foresite to rear its own quality fish. All for approx £100 a year. Plus bennetts lake and It's incredible potential. And all they are concerned with was there own little pigeon holed world that they live in. I bet clive, robin ect left that meeting wondering why they bother. I can assure you they don't represent the majority of members. Crack on guys your doing a great job.

Hi kentmark, unfortunately I was unable to get to the AGM so have no idea what went on. I would however like to echo your comments regarding the club & staff. I reckon DDAPS must be one of the best, most forward thinking clubs around. We have a "staff" who work hard on 1, maintaining our current portfolio of waters. 2. securing new waters for us members to fish 3. encouraging local youngsters to take up fishing 4. having an ongoing fish breeding/rearing programme 5. lots of unseen work behind the scenes. ie alan at the office. As I said I was unable to get to the AGM so I can not & will not pretend to understand what or why Kentmarks comments were made, but I do feel that the "club" & it's officials deserve more credit & support than they currently get.

Thanks for those coments kentmark, Clive and I do wonder why we bother sometimes but from my point of view I would just like to say that angling has given me a great deal of pleasure over the last 50 years and I hope I can help secure the future for you young guns out there. The moaners represent such a small % of the membership that we may as well ignore them but watch this space incase that arso-e proposes next year that we sell Bennetts, I will be calling for you all to vote NO

Well said Kentmark, it was embarrassing at times listening to the certain few. Everyone at the club is doing their best and the emails that come to the website show that the members DO appreciate what everyone is doing. Just one thing everbody, REMEMBER to lock the f***ink gate!! Keep up the good work everyone at DDAPS and "don't let the buggers get you down"

Couldn't make the AGM. What were they all moaning about? Hi Jeffe, some moaned because we bought a lake, some moaned because we have banned visible TV aerials and sat dishes and some moaned because we banned all leaders. Now lets move forward and make this club ticket one you never want to drop, it's only £80 cheapest ticket in my wallet

So that means safe zone leaders as well does it. I take it tubing will still be OK.

I can't believe a couple of those Robin. I'm not surprised about the leader ban. They're all dangerous in the wrong hands.
TV aerials. Fark 'em. Camping or fishing?

£80.00 is a steal. Can't wait for the start of next season to fish Bennetts.

The work got held up over the fence nonsense. One thing I've not heard mentioned, are we able to put a toilet block onsite ?

Kentmark, we are drawing up plans for planning permission as I type this post. Bagman, we are 7 months behind due to problems with planning permission for the fence but if we have a good winter we can get back on track for a 2012 opening

Ok, I had a walk along the footpath the other day when I was passing through, I was amazed that there were any objections from the local community about the fence. I bet most of them have taller or more obtrusive fences around their gardens. I read one comet on a local community/ parish forum that said they were expecting towers to be erected in the corners to complete the concentration camp effect! Well if that's how we are building prisons these days, ill be happy to do a long stretch. ;D
Robin let us know if any help is needed on winter work parties. Always willing.
