I'd go with the tiger nut and maple or the ever reliable rum n raspberry. So much of the whole range works at Sutton you can pretty much take your pick.

That's the first time I've heard that the siltexing has affected the fishing. It might be a bit off for a couple of weeks afetr it's done but then things should settle down again after that.
I siltex a small syndicate lake I'm involved with and it doesn't seem to affect the fishing at all.

I think siltexing is now a regular part of the clubs programme to inprove the fisheries. Robin will be the best one to answer this. Siltex can affect the ph of the water but it shouldn't have a long term detrimental affect on the fishing.

Yes it does increase the ph of the water, thats why we treat a third of the lake one week then leave it for three weeks before we treat the next third. The fishing may be slow for while but certainly not for long. This may be done every year or at worst every two years as part of our fisheries management plan

Cheers Dont listen to drums mate they are usually bullnuts. No decision has been made to my knowledge, although I'm always in favour of the close season it does cause us problems because we always get broken into when no cars are in carpark

what changes are being made to the swims on the big lake Rob? Hi Chris, the garden swim is going to be moved round next to the brambles. The idea being that you will fish along the bank towards the toilet block. For too many years the garden swim has had to much water and everyone just wants to put a lead across to the barrier.

I have also heard that the Car park swim is being taken out.

So what swim is fishing to the barrier? Is it a new swim that is being created by the toilet block ?
I'm not having a dig, but as usal communication between the committee and members is really poor.

There will be a swim opened up near the barriers that will fish out half way along the island, nutshouse bay will stay the same and the new garden swim will fish half way out and towards the toilets. This will give all three swims a more even share of water to fish. An apology for poor communication but with so much going on it takes time. We have promised that a report will go up in the carparks and on the website before xmas.

Sorry, where is the car park swim.?
Sounds good. Needs something to change that area of the lake, along with the clearing of the side snags hopefully it will push fish out into the other areas of the lake.
Instead of giving them an unfishable safe haven.
